As an award-winning filmmaker with a 20 year career in high tech, Scott blends his passions for visual story telling and technology. He is uniquely placed to understand both the left and right brain parts of the industry. Scott has received accolades for his work across a broad range of genres. His dramatic short "Apron Strings" won the Award of Excellence in Filmmaking from the 2013 Canada International Film Festival, and more recently, the reality web series "Garage Sale Diaries" became an Official Selection in the Toronto WebFest 2014. In the corporate video realm, Scott has completed numerous web-based short form advertorials for major retailers. His cinéma-vérité style promotional videos for non-profits have been a critical component in highly successful fundraising campaigns. Prior to his career in film, Scott spent two decades building successful products, teams and companies in the Internet realm. He is husband to Leanne, and dad to Lachlan, Ethan and Madeleine. Around the house he is affectionately known as "Useta", because he useta be fit, he useta have hair, he useta have time and money - all before kids. But that's OK.
