Scott Miller | Your Trusted Advisor in the Restoration Industry

Navigating the complex world of property damage restoration can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ve been in your shoes. My business journey started back in 1994, and through all the highs and lows, I’ve gained a lot of hard-earned, practical knowledge that I now use to help other owners succeed.

With credentials from the ICF (International Coaching Federation), CEC (Center for Executive Coaching), and Best Year Yet, I made the shift from building and running my own service businesses to coaching others who want to build something great. My start in the restoration industry came in 2005, when I became a franchisee in a national system. That experience eventually led me to rebrand, go independent and later sell the business in 2017.

In 2012, I launched a mobile auto glass repair and replacement business to leverage the insurance relationships I’d built through restoration. That company shared a lot of similarities with restoration . . . fast-moving jobs, heavy customer service, and helping people navigate insurance claims. I sold that business in 2021, and it reinforced my love for building companies that run smoothly and have real market value when it’s time to move on.

Over the past 16 years, I’ve coached restoration owners all over the U.S. . . . from single-location operators to leaders running multi-office, eight-figure organizations. Whether you focus on mitigation only or run a full-service restoration company, my goal is the same:

Help you increase profitability, reduce the chaos, and if a future exit is part of your plan, maximize that sale when the time comes.

I understand how most owners think . . . high energy, hands-on, and always ready to take the bull by the horns. I used to operate that way too. But I’ve learned that true leadership isn’t about doing more yourself - it’s about building a team that can perform at a high level without you needing to jump in every time. Like John Maxwell says, “One is too small a number to achieve greatness.”

I’m a Drexel University grad with a background in marketing and finance, and I combine that education with real-world ownership experience. My coaching style is practical, direct, and focused on results . . . helping owners and their teams follow a disciplined approach to sales, leadership, and financial performance.

Outside of work, I value simplicity . . . time with my wife and our four kids, whether at home in Berwyn, PA or relaxing at the Jersey Shore. I’m also an avid tennis player and have recently gotten back into playing regularly as part of my fitness routine.
