Scott Bundgaard

In a multi-faceted commitment to public policy, the arts, and the overall well-being of children, Scott Bundgaard has built a career and a life of diverse successes. Mr. Bundgaard laid a firm foundation for his career with his academic pursuits. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Journalism from the private, liberal arts school Grand Canyon University. Scott Bundgaard went on to take executive education courses for his work at IBM and at private equity firm, Pierson Capital. He earned a Master of Business Administration at Thunderbird, the School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.

In addition to a prolific professional record in business and finance, Scott Bundgaard was elected in 1995 to the Arizona House of Representatives and served as Vice Chairman on the House Banking Committee. A state representative until 1997, he was soon elected to the Arizona State Senate, a role he filled from 1997 until 2003 and from 2011 to 2012. During his first eight years in the Senate, he served as Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. More recently, he served as Senate Majority Leader.

In addition to his public service, Scott Bundgaard takes an active interest in his community and in the world. Among his many community involvements, he helped build a school called Rancho el Refugio in Ensenada, Mexico. He has also helped build homes for the poor near Ensenada and Puerto Penasco, MX, since 2007. He received the Conquistador Trophy for his efforts to raise money for Tu Nidito Children and Family Services in 2011 and 2012 as part of the El Tour de Tucson Ride for a Child event. Scott raised a substantial amount of money for the National Kidney Foundation in their Dancing with the Stars event in 2011.
