Business Development Executive – The Design Portfolio Marketing

This role involves building, maintaining and delivering an on-going pipeline of good opportunities that enable the organisation to grow through reactive and proactive prospecting.

Duties include:

  • Identifying, researching and targeting new business prospects.
  • Liaising with new and existing clients over the phone and meeting them face to face.
  • Developing strong working relationships with prospective new clients.
  • Producing monthly pipeline reports for management purposes.
  • Selling the company services via telephone, online and also in the field.
  • Providing support to the sales and marketing team through a variety of additional activities.
  • Ganing new appointments from hot and cold leads.Managing and maintaining databases of potential clients.
  • Working closely with all teams as required for writing presentations, attending pitches, and collating follow-up materials for potential clients.
  • Client facing role where it is necessary to attend business meetings with potential/existing clients and discuss their objectives and the rationale behind their current/future corporate communications.
  • Knowledge and experience of published and online marketing activities of organisations has been gained by analysing and evaluating companies' corporate communications against industry best practice criteria.
    Managed tenders for over £70,000 worth of new business from conception to completion.
  • Developed a social media presence for the company. This idea was put to my Head of New Business as I have a keen interest in how social media can be used for B2B marketing purposes. I currently manage the account @DPMSUK.
