Scott Marshall

Scott Marshall

I was born in Arbroath, Scotland (a lesser known fishing village on the East coast). I moved to the United States when I was 13. My mother and I followed her husband at the time as he was in the U.S. Navy. We bounced around a bit but finally settled in Tallahassee, FL.

Without going into too much detail, things became less than comfortable at home so my mother and I thought it best that we find other living arrangements. I was fortunate enough to have met a wonderful family who warmly welcomed me into their home. I became very close with their son and they would later adopt me and accept me as one of their own. I now proudly bare the name, Scott Marshall.

For a long time I received mixed emotions about my heritage and accent. Some people thought it was cool that I spoke in a Scottish brogue while others were quick to make fun (I would later embrace my cultural differences but in school, it wasn’t always easy). - I will say that having an accent didn’t hurt when talking to females… “If ya know what I mean!”

There is much that encompasses all that is Scott from Scotland (too much to fit on one page anyway). I have aspirations of being a success at all that I strive to do. For all of my life, my goal has been to make it into the History books. – I haven’t yet decided what I shall be most remembered for.

I will say that I am passionate about business, marketing, music, film, football (soccer), and family. I am blessed to have a terrific wife and two BEAUTIFUL daughters. For the majority of my life I have made efforts to succeed as a way to prove something to myself. I have felt the need to continue to overcome and beat the “odds.” Now my primary focus is living a balanced life as a means of working towards my dreams while providing and being a good husband to my wife, and an excellent father for my children.
