Scott Houghton

Scott Houghton has had a career that has ranged from business to medicine. He is not only a consumate professional, but he's also heavily involved in his local community in Madison, CT and believes that giving back is the best thing to do with one's time.

Scott Houghton graduated with a degree in Finance and Marketing from Villanova University. He then joined Xerox as an national account manager where he worked on accounts such as Staples and Kinkos. However he felt as though the business world wasn't for him and he decided to leave Xerox and go to medical school.

After completing his pre-medical courses at Harvard University, Scott Houghton went to Jefferson Medical School where he earned clinical honors in Internal Medicine. When he graduated he decided to use both his business and medicinal acumen to became a healthcare consultant to hospitals and business while also working at a practice. During his years in the medicine world, he saw firsthand the inefficiencies of the medical payment system and so he founded MD Healthcare Communications and became the Director of Provider Relations. He uses as hands-on approach and plans on on completely shaking up the medicinal community with a newer, more efficient way to pay bills.

Scott Houghton is also involved with his local highschool as a coach for the students there. He coaches all sports but lacrosse will always be his favorite. He uses his position to instill the importance of discipline and hardwork as well as the importance of teamwork.
