Scott Hounsell

A strategic management and business development professional with experience directing political campaigns, Scott Hounsell most recently served as CEO and chief political consultant at The Del Cielo Group, through which he was lead strategist for more than a dozen candidate campaigns. This involved overseeing public relations as well as analyzing poll results, voter registration trends, and district demographics. Scott Hounsell also served one year as executive director of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County.

In addition to his leadership experience in the political realm, Scott Hounsell worked one year as executive director at the Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Educate and Empower Kids. His responsibilities involved arranging the nonprofit's participation in national conferences and overseeing the development of its website and content. He also served as managing editor at The National Sentinel and has authored articles for RedState.com.

Mr. Hounsell spent the first six years of his career working in public relations and marketing for various real estate firms. He holds an MBA from George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in political science from California State University at Northridge. He also completed leadership courses at the European Business School in Germany and Ecole Superieure Des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales in Morocco.
