Scott Isaacs is the author of Beginning Windows Store Application Development–HTML and JavaScript Edition (Apress, 2013). He owns and operates Capewood Place, a software consulting firm based in the San Diego area. Although introduced to computers and programming in the early ’80s, it wasn’t until the mid-’90s that Scott realized he would rather be writing software for a living, instead of pursuing a career as a physicist or mathematician. He’s worked in a number of industries, including government, news, finance, marketing, and product development, holding early positions at three successful start-ups. Additionally, Scott ran the WI .NET Users Group for 9 years and played bass guitar in his church band.

Originally from California, Scott moved to Wisconsin in 1999. Two days after his arrival, he met a girl. Kelly and Scott have been happily married since 2001 and have two amazing children. In late 2015, the whole family hit the road full time, moving into a fifth wheel trailer for a year-long adventure traveling around the country. Now that their travel adventure has ended, they have settled in beautiful San Diego.
