Scott Keating

Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Scott Keating is a big sports fan aside from his professional career. Ever since Scott was a little kid, he was a big fan of the Yankees and Cowboys. He mostly follows football and baseball, but will tune into basketball and hockey from time to time. His favorite basketball team is the Philadelphia 76ers and his favorite Hockey team is the Philadelphia Flyers.

As a world traveler, Scott has visited most of the states in the United States. One of his favorite activities to do as a tourist in a different US city is to go visit the home team's baseball stadium. There is a peacefulness and tranquility that one can get at a baseball stadium that is unique in the sports industry.

Scott Keating is also a huge fan of tennis and soccer. He began playing soccer at the young age of five years old. He continued to play throughout high school and college while earning many awards for his leadership and skill. Scott enjoys watching tennis matches as he has attended the US Open several times. Scott's love for sports even shows in his college major as he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Eastern University.

Sports have been an integral part in Scott's life. He is also a tennis and volleyball parent, as he spends many glorious hours with his wife watching their kids compete in these sporting events.

When Scott is not spending time watching his sports of traveling, he is working at Lancaster Bible College as the president of the Ambassadors Foundation and Director of Major Gifts. He has extensive experience in fundraising, giving back to the institutions that have given him so much in life for over 25 years. He typically has done fundraising for schools and churches, as well as multiple mission trips to countries all over the world.

Scott Keating is also a fundraising consultant for The Center, a non-profit organization comprised of business consultants in a variety of areas whose main goals are to develop leadership and organization skills. Scott works primarily with church run organizations to implement fundraising strategies for institutional development. For example, if a Church organization wants to build another Church, day to day donations are simply not enough capital for that type of construction. Scott's responsibility in this situation is to assist the organization in developing a strategy to develop relationships with major donors willing to fund the development project.
