Scott Livanec

As an expert in human capital management with experience executing change for clients in a variety of industries, Scott Livanec has developed a solid record of accomplishment throughout his 20 years of experience. Educated at Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, Mr. Livanec first earned his BA in Economics. He earned his MBA in Finance and Management from Tulane University, following three years as a recruiter at the large academic healthcare organization known as UTMB. After graduate school Scott advanced rapidly with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, better known today as IBM Business Consulting Services. Over the course of his career at the top-tier consulting firm, Scott Livanec became a Principal Consultant and worked with key clients that included the Ford Motor Company; The Home Depot U.S.A., Inc.; ING North American Insurance Corporation; The Walt Disney Company; and the International Paper Company.

As the team leader and project manager for a variety of high-profile clients at IBM, Scott Livanec developed a number of specialties and remained involved in every step of the consulting process. As an authority on workforce analytics, he helped managers and leaders to identify operating challenges, designed strategies to combat them, and implemented needed changes and new technologies. He has aided in the execution of HR transformation projects, including SAP /Oracle ERP, Authoria knowledge databases, service centers, HR portals, and other software designed to streamline business processes. Scott Livanec’s roles as an strategic sourcing advisor, subject matter expert, and organizational leader have helped maximize the return on clients’ expenditure and produced measurable results.

Scott Livanec returned to UTMB in 2005, and he has been working as the Director of Workforce Solutions and Analytics ever since. After assuming responsibility for the Human Resources department, Mr. Livanec launched PeopleSoft self-service capabilities, transitioned the financial records from data mart to Hyperion by Oracle, and reorganized the department’s fiscal structure to incorporate accountability for various divisions. Currently, Scott Livanec represents the medical branch on several strategic finance committees at the university. He continues to provide workforce solutions and offer his expertise as a human capital management specialist.
