Scott McConnell

Scott McConnell is a communications and public affairs specialist with experience in strategic communications planning and media relations in government, electoral campaigns, and issue advocacy. Scott’s background includes serving as chief spokesperson for a statewide candidate, development of earned media events for candidate and issue campaigns at both the national and local levels, and utilization of social media. His crisis communications skills have been honed in support of hurricane response and disaster recovery activities, and his current communications portfolio at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security includes cyber security and infrastructure protection and resilience. Scott is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is studying at the George Washington University Law School (expected completion in 2015).
