Hi everyone.

My name is Scott McGarrity and I'm in my second year at Algonquin College in Business Administration. My plan after college is to go off to Carleton University and continue my studies in business. Now, as you can see, my background is playing football. My current team is the Junior Riders and we play in the Quebec League. I'm very passionate about playing the sport and I have been for over five years now. I am dedicated to working out and practicing hard so that one-day I can not only be on a CIS team, but be a starter. I am that motivated to accomplish my goal. Going to Carleton and playing on their football team would be a dream come true. Football is a sport that doesn't look at how good or bad you are last season. It's all about now and on that day, that one day that you can win it all and become a champion. The New England Patriots were one of the best teams of all time in 2008. They won every single game, but because they lost the Super Bowl, the team will be overlooked as one of the great ones. That's why nobody should be counting days until they make it, but rather make every single day count.
Besides football, I have two jobs. I work for a promoting company called DNA Presents. We promote for big time DJs like Laidback Luke, Dada Life, Skrillex and many more. It is an awesome job if you're into people, concerts and the clubbing scenes. I also work for OCSB. I run a three hour sports program after school Monday to Thursday for grade 7s to grade 10s . We play active sports and I teach them new skills and strategies. I find both jobs very rewarding.
As for my social life, even though I have two jobs and play a lot of football, I still hang out with my friends all the time. We go to the cottage and go boating, fishing and just whatever we decide we want to do. When were in town, we go swimming at the quarry, or go see a movie and just hang out and relax. We travel too: Tremblant, Mont Ste. Anne, and the DR. All great destinations that we have enjoyed.
