Scott McKenna

I am a software engineer and application architect with 7 years technical experience working within e-commerce and supply chain solutions. I currently work at IBM as an application architect, which includes looking after a team of over 30 delivery personnel (Developers, Testers, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts) and continue to find ways to develop our automation, containerisation, Test Driven Development and Behavioural Driven Development skills.

My last 4 years have been heavily focused within Java and an E-Commerce framework called SAP Hybris to deliver solutions for many top national and multi-national clients that include Dr Martens, Wickes, JD Williams and Simply Be, amongst others.

I consider myself to be a full stack developer, demonstrating strong capabilities with SQL, Object Oriented Programming languages and front-end implementations using JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

I spend many hours outside of work trying to maintain current skills and learn new skills and like to work on small projects to aid this. Examples include working with Amazon Alexa Skills, re-writing my website in React.JS and Reflux, as well as creating my own TDD framework for Node.JS
