Scott Skinner
I'm just finishing 10th grade, but I've been doing freelance SEO, link building & content writing for about two years now. My uncle got me started with all this online marketing stuff when he gave me a 'summer job' writing all his BMR articles. From there I found other BMR clients by looking at the other sites that were linking out from the same BMR posts where mine were. I'd contact the site owners directly via email and offer to write all their BMR posts for cheaper than BMR was charging them.
But then ... between having BMR de-indexed back in March and then the big 4/24 Penguin update, I was out of business for several weeks. I used that time to study up on what the whitehats were doing for links, and ended up getting myself right back into business providing a manual commenting service for a bunch of my old BMR clients. I spend all my free time reading SEO & marketing blogs anyway, so now I just add relevant & thoughtful comments afterward (using the clients' URLs in my sig of course).
Beyond manual blog commenting, I'm also a member of several private blog networks (thanks to my uncle mostly) very similar to what BMR used to be, but NOT open to the public (obviously).
I'm also still doing a bit of content writing. I generally charge $0.03 per word, which is beyond fair considering the fact that I'm an actual full-time high school English student (Rochester, NY, USA) i.e., no broken English.
Thanks for taking the time to read over my little bio here and feel free to email me (button below) if you're ever in need of any of the services I offer. ... scott
