Scott Swanson

Scott Swanson has built some of the interactive media industry's most successful startups. Currently he serves as the CEO of Mobile Theory,a company he co-founded in 2010 and which was acquired by Opera Software in February 2012.

Scott continues to run the Mobile Theory division as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Opera. Prior to founding Mobile Theory, Scott founded and ran 47 Media, a consulting firm that advises Fortune 500 brands and media companies on ad network strategy.

Prior to that, Scott ran the publisher network at Glam Media as its Vice President & General Manager. Scott also served on the founding team of startup, Vitrue which was acquired by Oracle in June of 2012.

Prior to Vitrue, Scott was Vice President of Network Development at Tribal Fusion, where he led the development of what became one of the industry's largest and highest-grossing advertising networks. Tribal Fusion has filed their S-1 and is expected to go public in late 2013.

Scott is a regular contributor to various trade publications including Mediapost, iMedia, and Digiday. As the CEO of Mobile Theory, Scott leads that company's explosive growth as they race to compete directly with Google and Apple for superior mobile advertising products and services.
