A successful corporate director and marketing executive, Scott Waltz of the San Francisco Bay Area possesses two decades of senior leadership experience at advertising and marketing firms, business consultancies, and technology companies. Since September 2012, he has handled strategic planning and partnership development for inVentures Technologies Incorporated, a developer and supplier of proprietary water treatment and remediation systems. In 2012, Scott Waltz also formed an eponymous strategic consultancy through which he advises business clients on formation, growth, and other operations.
Scott Waltz previously served as CEO of Iconic Labs, a multi-channel, direct marketing company. During his tenure there, he led the firm to a 73 percent increase in revenue. From 2009 to 2012, he held the title of Executive Vice President of Marketing for direct-response marketing giant Guthy-Renker, LLC. In this role, Mr. Waltz helped oversee $1.5 billion in profit and loss responsibilities for all Guthy-Renker brands, including Proactiv and Sheer Cover. He also implemented key initiatives, such as identifying best practices and integrating these practices across all platforms to increase per-product net profit and drive profitability and scale for specific brands.
Before Guthy-Renker, Scott Waltz helped grow two highly successful Internet companies: AllBusiness.com and CNET. As Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for AllBusiness.com, he increased revenues to $20 million within one year. Prior to this, he founded CNET’s marketing team during the company’s startup and pre-initial public offering (IPO) phase.
