SCOTTY HUGHES was born smack dab in the middle of the post-war baby boom - and since then he has become 'one' with the art, culture and music of Windsor/Canada and Detroit/USA and surrounding regions.

For the past 4+ decades his days (and nights) have been spent working as a musician, an artist, graphic designer and photographer. He has designed and produced graphics for more than two dozen recording projects/promotional items/album artwork, and has illustrated, designed and overseen publication of various internationally released books, manuals and field guides. His published works have included internationally renowned authors: sean o'huigin's, Scary Poems for Rotten Kids, 1988, Black Moss Press (selling over a half-million copies world-wide); and Monster's He Mumbled, 1989 Black Moss Press; -- along with Gerry Waldron's widely popular: Trees of the Carolinian Forest, 2003, Boston Mills Press; and Trees of Point Pelee National Park, 2007, F.O.P.P; and many others.

He can often be heard slingin' the guitar and performing regularly with: the Toronto-based, Ron Leary Sextet... Windsor, Ontario's, The TaraWatts... Canadian roots songstress Allison Brown... and the inprovisational film soundtrack inspired collective, ANALOGHANDSHAKE... among other groups as guitarist/synthesist for hire.
