Bill Griffin

Hello. I'm originally from Clogheen a small village that sits at the foot of the Knockmealdown mountains in South Tipperary. Educated by the De La Salle Brothers I emigrated to England in 1976 to become a mental health professional and have worked in human services ever since. I am currently CEO of Galway Simon Community a homeless charity in the West of Ireland. I met my wife Sharon in England and our three children Rory Kieran and Helen were born there. We moved to Galway in 1998.

I love writing as a hobby and have completed a small collection of poetry, short stories and two memoir pieces that reflect on the powerful and powerless from my time in boarding school and my three years as a student nurse in a large institution in Kent England. I haven't as yet applied myself to being published. But you never know.
