The Quarterly meeting was held Sept 18 - a week before "National Employ Older Worker's Week". We received a proclamation from the Mayor's office- presented by Shayla Beco; had a financial literacy training done by Denise Evans; an "Appropriate Interview" Fashion show presented by PAC; and words of encouragement from the GESGC CEO, Frank Harkins.

Created in 1965, SCSEP is the nation’s oldest program to help low-income, unemployed individuals aged 55+ find work.

SCSEP matches eligible older adults with part-time jobs for community service organizations. Participants build skills and self-confidence, while earning a modest income. For most, their SCSEP experience leads to permanent employment.

SCSEP is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. NCOA manages 27 SCSEP offices throughout the U.S
