SD Stevens

I am a Yorkshire lass, born and bred, as they say. I come from a working class back ground were my parents worked hard to provide for us, we never really had lots of material things but we had each other and that was enough. My siblings and I would spend hours making up games and stories. Being a child during the 70's and 80's meant that I went out to play when the weather was fine and played boardgames and read when we had to stay in. Reading was one of my favourite pass times, fantasy and supernatural books quickly became my favourite genres. At the age of 14, I read my first Stephen King book and was hooked!I began writing about ten years ago but never plucked the courage up to show anyone my work. Yet over the years, I have learnt that writing is a great way to get rid of all the stuff going around in my head.
