Inspiring Creativity Through Art, Writing & Design Since 2003

Shandylinn DeVita is a multi-disciplinary creative professional, 2x published poet, published author, photographer, graphic designer, and community arts advocate dedicated to bringing stories, creativity, and meaningful connections to life through multiple artistic mediums.

In 2003, Shandylinn launched her creative brand, originally focusing on portrait photography, wedding photography, and graphic design services. Over time, her passion for storytelling and artistic expression expanded far beyond visual arts. In 2017, she officially rebranded to encompass all of her creative endeavors — including writing, publishing, event collaboration, creative marketing, and community arts engagement.

Today, Shandylinn continues to blend artistic vision with authentic storytelling, creating work that inspires creativity, connection, and self-expression.

Published Poet & Author

As a published poet and author, Shandylinn’s writing reflects emotion, life experiences, creativity, and passion for the arts. Her work has been featured in multiple publications, helping establish her voice within the creative and literary community.

Her continued dedication to writing led to deeper involvement within the literary arts world, where she became an active contributor and supporter of creative events that uplift authors, artists, and independent creators.

Community Leadership & Nonprofit Support

Shandylinn has also dedicated her talents to nonprofit and community work. For two years, she served as the Social Media Coordinator and Graphic Designer for a local nonprofit organization supporting her community library. Through strategic social media management, branding, marketing design, and community outreach, she helped strengthen visibility and engagement for important local initiatives.

Her most recent nonprofit involvement is with Rainbow Service Dogs, Inc. She serves as a Web Designer and image specialist to help document the ongoing activities of the nonprofit. This has strengthened the nonprofit's ability to reach more of the community and increased engagement for local initiatives.

Her passion for supporting literacy, creativity, and community development continues to influence many of the projects she takes part in today.

Current Environmental Photography Project: Arizona Before the Change

In addition to her work as an author, poet, photographer, and designer, Shandylinn is currently pursuing an ambitious environmental photography and storytelling initiative titled Arizona Before the Change — a long-term creative conservation project focused on documenting the rapidly changing landscapes of the American Southwest.

Arizona is home to some of the most breathtaking and extreme environments in the United States, from vast desert basins and ancient canyon systems to remote wilderness areas that few people ever experience firsthand. However, rising temperatures, prolonged drought, ecosystem shifts, wildfire impacts, and environmental stress are already reshaping many of these landscapes in visible and lasting ways.

Through powerful photography, visual storytelling, educational outreach, and respectful exploration, Arizona Before the Change seeks to preserve a visual record of Arizona’s landscapes, wildlife, and environmental history before irreversible changes occur.

The Mission of Arizona Before the Change

The project was created with several core goals:

  • Preserve visual records of Arizona’s landscapes and wildlife
  • Increase awareness of environmental change across the Southwest
  • Inspire appreciation, stewardship, and connection to the natural world
  • Create a lasting visual archive for future generations

Rather than focusing on fear or sensationalism, the project emphasizes education, connection, and respect for the land.

It highlights the beauty, resilience, fragility, and cultural importance of Arizona’s wild spaces while encouraging a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges facing the region today.

Why This Project Matters

The landscapes of Arizona tell an important story — one of resilience, adaptation, beauty, and change.

Some of these places may look dramatically different in the coming decades than they do today.

Through photography and storytelling, Arizona Before the Change aims to ensure these landscapes are not forgotten while inspiring people to reconnect with the natural world and appreciate the importance of preserving it for future generations.

Together, we can preserve Arizona’s visual history before it changes forever.
