About Sean D. Casterline
Sean D. Casterline is a veteran investment professional with more than 30 years of experience spanning asset management, retirement planning, alternative investments, media, authorship, and philanthropic leadership. Known for his disciplined investment approach and ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts, Sean has built a reputation as a trusted advisor and respected voice within the investment community. He currently serves as President of the Delta Companies, leading with a long-term perspective grounded in experience, education, and principled decision-making.
Sean began his career in the investment industry in 1992 after earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Florida. His early professional years were spent at Delta Advisory Group, Inc., where he served as an asset manager for six years and advanced to Senior Portfolio Manager. During this time, he gained extensive experience in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management, shaping an investment philosophy centered on diversification, transparency, and strategic patience.
Sean later joined Wealth Management Financial Group, where he managed up to $185 million in client assets. Working closely with individuals and families, he advised on wealth accumulation, preservation, and retirement planning, with a strong emphasis on aligning investment strategies to long-term goals, particularly for clients nearing or in retirement.
In addition to his investment management work, Sean has played a prominent role in financial media and education. He co-hosted Talking About Your Investments, a nationally syndicated four-hour financial radio program broadcast in 85 markets, including major cities such as New York, Dallas, and San Francisco. He has also appeared regularly as a financial expert on local television news in Tampa and Orlando, offering insight on market trends, economic developments, and investment strategy.
Sean’s thought leadership has been featured in numerous national publications, including U.S. News & World Report, International Business Times, CBS News Moneywatch, and CNET Money. He has also been featured by Authority Magazine and at industry events such as the MoneyShow.
A published author, Sean wrote Investor’s Passport to Hedge Fund Profits: Unique Investment Strategies for Today’s Global Capital Markets (2010), exploring hedge fund and alternative investment strategies. He is currently working on a second book focused on international investing.
Today, Sean leads Delta Private Wealth, LLC, specializing in asset management, retirement planning, and alternative investments, including real estate and other nontraditional asset classes. His approach emphasizes thoughtful structure, diversification, and alignment with client objectives.
Sean holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has served as a Director of the CFA Society Orlando, as well as an arbiter for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
Beyond his professional work, Sean is deeply committed to philanthropy. He and his wife, Amy, established the Sean and Amy Casterline Fund at the University of Florida and support a range of charitable initiatives focused on education, healthcare, children’s services, and community development. He has also served as Treasurer for AdventHealth’s Sharing Smiles program and
volunteered with organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Sean remains actively involved with professional and educational organizations such as the CFA Institute, Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and the University of Florida Alumni Association.
