Sean Mckoy was born and raised in New York City. Brooklyn to be exact, is where he witnessed a diverse amount of ethnicities and backgrounds which can only be credited to New York City's melting pot of cultures. Traditionaly trained at the Fashion Institute of technology in
Menswear, Sean went on to intern and freelance at top brands such as DKNY International and Club Monaco before honing and sharpening his skills at European Fashion house Marithe Francois Girbaud. In the Summer of 2012 Mckoy Deluxxe was started as apart of his dream to create his own brand. Mckoy Deluxxe was born with the idea of taking a contemporary approach to streetwear. Showcasing updated silhouettes , construction techniques and fabrication. Mckoy Deluxxe is a cutting edge contemporary streetwear lifestyle brand focusing on the highest quality with a sharp eye for detail.
Drawing inspiration from various forms such as art, architecture ,traveling and simply the world around us, we are able to take our everyday function as consideration when developing each garment. The details are what makes each garment special. Using the clothing as a canvas to create our own aesthetic.
After being picked up in 5 boutiques around the N.Y.C area, it was reassuring proof that this innovative designer was well on his way.
Currently Sean is the Head / Senior Designer of Marithe Francois Girbaud U.S.A and the Head designer of his small but growing brand Mckoy Deluxxe New york
