Sean Rattigan

I have spent 10 years in the IT industry as an Engineer and Project Manager from 1990-2001 where I learned a great deal about the electronic manufacturing industry and business. I worked primarily in the production and development of Lottery and Tote machines. Having held responsibility for projects that achieved significant savings, I was one of the primary problem solvers for problems arising in the field or in manufacturing, being sent to Italy, Germany, Denmark and the UK to meet with customers and suppliers. I subsequently operated as a Distributor of specialized electronic assemblies before becoming a Consultant and Trainer. I successfully completed an MBA in 2005 to complement qualifications in Electronics and IT, and subsequently achieved First Class Honours in a Certificate in Training and Education from NUIM. Since then I have delivered training in many Business and ICT subjects in various locations around the country. I am currently completing a M.Ed. /PGDE. My interests include development of e-Learning using Online Tutorials, Quizzes, Forums and multimedia materials such as flash videos and streaming video lectures- developed to make learning more interesting and utilize the power of Technology. My other main area of interest for the past 7 years involves the research of Creativity and Innovation- a topic of increasing relevance and importance in modern times.
