Sean Rogers

Nashville TN

I was that wavy haired, 16 year old kid with a guitar that had fallen in love with songwriting. I found myself playing and singing in a band that I had helped start. Thankfully, through the advice of a good friend (the one who produced and engineered my high school band's full length album), I decided to pack up after high school and move 1,000 miles to get a degree in audio engineering. After my training, I settled in Nashville, TN. My goal was always to have a home studio someday, but first, I'd spend a couple years as the stereotypical, "starving artist" before learning that traveling the country in a van was the least of my desires. In the spring of 2013, I started my home studio called Hey World Productions. Equipped with a tracking room, iso booth, kitchenette, and lounge space, the studio is aimed at full production demo work, overdubs, and mixing. For over a year, I've been priviledged to provide services for some of the biggest names in music including Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, and Dierks Bentely. My passion is working to develop artists and help them find their sound-ending up with a product that could eventually launch their music careers! "Do you produce and engineer full time?" I'm glad you asked! I currently work full time for Dark Horse Institute, an audio engineering school that is closely affiliated with Dark Horse Recording in Franklin, TN. As the Director of Student Services, my job ranges from manageing day to day social media content to fully equipping graduating students with the skills and game plan neccessary for success as a real world, audio engineer. One might just say, that working for DHI is the best of both worlds. Well, let me tell you, I am definitely living the dream!
