Sean Upton-McLaughlin

I am a native-born American with a deep expertise in Chinese business, Chinese culture and the Chinese language, gathered from many years of on-the-ground experience in Mainland China. I have come to deeply understand the Chinese people by living among them and speaking their language, which provides me with enormous insight into their behavior, communication styles, desires, society, and business culture.

As an international business professional, I have worked chiefly in consulting positions in both American and Chinese companies, implementing and supervising client projects, training and educating team members and business executives, and rooting out and solving complex problems. Functionally, I am most adept in and possess the greatest amount of experience in strategy, marketing, research, and entrepreneurship, though many past consulting engagements and projects have usually contained multiple elements.
