Sean Bowman

I graduate in May, 2012 from University of Miami with a double major in Public Relations and International Studies, while minoring in Marketing and learning Mandarin Chinese for more than two years. After growing up on the beaches of the Jersey Shore, I started working on them. I have been lifeguarding on the Cape May Beach Patrol since 2006. Lifeguard by day- fine dining waiter by night. Lifeguarding has prepped me for any emergency response and taught me how to most effectively react in situations that demand quick decisions. It has also taught me to trust my lifeguard partners in order to ensure safety to all patrons. My times on the beach have been some of the most awarding times of my life, but nothing can come close to my experiences when I actually was able to test my Mandarin skills and study abroad in China. My whole world was opened up to such diverse cultures with every area I traveled across China. From standing atop the truly Great Wall of China to meeting some of the best friends (from all parts of the world) I ever had in Xi'an, to getting blessed by a living Buddha in Tibet. I came back to Miami different man. I am now ready to borrow from all my experiences and apply them into the work world. I have a huge drive to learn and meet all kinds of new people. Now that my time in college is coming to end, I am looking to work for a position as a public relations and marketing professional with an evolving company that will build upon my knowledge from University of Miami
