Sean Cooke is currently a Doctoral candidate in Transport studies within the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Cape Town. His field of study is the relationships between public transport network features and land use characteristics. He recently completed a Master of Science degree in Engineering achieving Cum Laude.

Sean is passionate about cities, their liveability and the manner in which they interact with their transport systems. He is an avid urbanist and futurist as well as a proponent of sustainable, high density city living. He is involved in multiple 'urban design'-based think tanks to solve the unique issues faced by South African cities. Sean has a vision to decrease the rampant inequality and poverty in African urban contexts through increased mobility and the design of afro-centric public transport networks.
