Sean Fahey

Sean Fahey is the co-founder and Co-Chief Investment Officer with hedge fund manager, Claren Road Asset Management, LLC. A developing asset management entity investing in the global investment grade credit, high yield, distressed, sovereign and municipal markets, Claren Road Asset Management currently manages $7.2 billion in hedge funds, with a parent company comprising assets exceeding $150 billion. As a Chief Investment Officer for the company, Sean Fahey employs a range of event-driven and capital structure arbitrage strategies to preserve funding and appreciate capital.

Prior to his service with Claren Road Asset Management, Sean Fahey served as Managing Director and Head of Global Emerging Markets External Debt Trading with Citigroup. Overseeing a team of 15 professionals from New York, Hong Kong, London, and Tokyo, he was responsible for developing a $2 billion trading position within external sovereign, corporate debt, and derivative markets. An alumnus of Duke University, Mr. Fahey graduated magna cum laude, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1993. Over the years he has held Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
