Sean Jacquet

Following seven years with GateHouse Media (Waltham Daily News Tribune, 2005-2009; MetroWest Daily News, 2009-2010), I've returned to the town in which I grew up to serve as the editor for Holliston Patch. I graduated from Holliston High in 1999 and spent two years at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, before moving on to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, from which I graduated with a B.S in journalism in 2003. Since college, I've bounced around the state, living in Watertown and Brighton, before settling in Ashland with my wife Kate in November 2009. But in September 2010, Holliston Patch presented me with an opportunity too good to pass up: a chance to serve as editor in the town in which I've spent the bulk of my 29 years. While this town has changed a bit since I graduated from high school, the core of the town has not. My parents and my wife's parents still live here and I still know many of the people with whom I grew up and, more importantly, what's important to them. As such, I take seriously the tasks of delivering the news and serving the community I've always been a part of. So, if you see me out and about, say "hello" or if drop me an e-mail if you have a story idea. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running and watching TV (Sons of Anarchy, Its Always Sunny in Phildelphia, Seinfeld) with my wife. I also love lifting weights and playing football, baseball and basketball.
