Sean David Karlin

Born in Los Angeles, but raised in Israel, Sean Karlin received his filmmaking education at the Sam Spiegel Film Institute in Jerusalem where he won Best Documentary from the American Israel Cultural Foundation for his film KIN.

In 1997, Sean set sail to return to America where he connected with the passionate environmental protection community, such as AMAZON WATCH, RAINFOREST ACTION NETWORK and SEA SHEPHERD. He began his work as a digital filmmaker with several of these environmental organizations, creating documentaries, educational films, PSAs and streaming video for the web. Then in 2003, he was offered the crown jewels of the activist world, a two-year stint with GREENPEACE documenting their US activities with a major focus on the Alaskan wilderness!

Sean has since settled down with his wife Orli in San Francisco where he joined BEYOND PIX STUDIOS, as a part of their creative team. With Beyond Pix he has created works that have gone on to win the Emmy Award from the precious Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
