Sean McGinn

A longtime associate of BronxNet.org, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating television for and by Bronx residents, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Sean McGinn maintains a strong commitment to the art of storytelling, especially within his community. Formerly an Editor at the public television station WNET where he worked with producers to edit international news reports and stories for air, Sean McGinn also served as Editor at its parent company WNET.org, the leading public media provider for the New York metropolitan area. Previously, as a Staff Videographer for Metro TV, Sean McGinn received the Telly Award for a public service announcement for the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, Inc. At Metro TV, Sean McGinn also contributed to the award-winning series Subway Q&A; and Subway Series, as well the comedy stand-up showcase New Joke City and the local music program Rhythm and Dues. As a Consultant and stakeholder at La Reina Del Barrio Productions, LLC, Sean McGinn creates professional multimedia entertainment that features people of different ethnicities. In addition to producing the independent film Un Ghost and the critically acclaimed play Death of a Dream, Sean McGinn also promotes diversity and unity through positive representations of international artists. Through his partnership at Spooky Truth Productions, Inc., Sean McGinn co-produced the 2007 documentary The Everyday: Benedictine Life at Mount Saviour Monastery, which received New York Emmy Awards for Outstanding Photography and Sound Production as well as a nomination for Best Religious Program. In 2008, Sean McGinn received another New York Emmy Award nomination for his work on BomPlenazo, a BronxNet.org documentary concert feature on the biennial celebration of African-Puerto Rican culture in the Bronx. Sean McGinn founded Evening Song Pictures in 2005. Through this company, he completes television, documentary, and short film projects.
