Sean's ground-breaking Hydrogen-based zero-energy community concept in Monterey, California, earned an American Institute of Architects (AIA) award, showcasing his innovative approach to sustainable design. As the founder of Sky Blue Impact, Sean leads the organization in investing in and developing renewable energy and hydrogen-based net zero energy projects. These projects span diverse sectors—including resorts, social housing, and infrastructure—and are located across the United States, Central and South America, and Africa.

Sean’s expertise extends into development finance, where he successfully arranged and closed $15 million in Development Finance Institution (DFI) project financing in Africa. His ability to navigate complex financial landscapes underscores his versatility and strategic acumen.

A sought-after speaker, Sean has shared his insights at numerous green and sustainable development conferences on the U.S. West Coast, including West Coast Green in San Francisco, Discover Brilliant in Seattle, and the Green Finance and Investment Forum West in San Francisco. Most recently, he presented at the AZA Architecture Conference in Cape Town, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in sustainable development.

Sean’s has participated in the design and development of social housing for the underserved in Northern California, with a completed project serving supportive housing and an adaptive re-use project also for supportive housing.

Sean holds a Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of the Witwatersrand (1992) and has been a LEED™ v.2 Accredited Professional since 2003.In addition Sean completed a course at Stanford University (2022), on Crypto and Finance. His expertise, vision, and passion for sustainable development continue to shape the future of net zero energy communities and renewable energy innovations worldwide.
