A seven year old, an Apple II, and the GO statement; this was my introduction to recursion, and the spark of a lifelong interest in making computers do interesting things. At the age of 10 I received my first computer, a Timex Sinclair 1000. With an intense curiosity I discovered the BASIC source code for the games I was playing, and set out to reason about what was in front of me, and soon after I was modifying variables and changing the dynamics of the game play. Throughout my nearly two decade career I have been exposed to a wide array of programming languages and styles. From my first job writing Assembler 360 and COBOL on main frame systems to early web development using Active Server Pages, and using ServerXmlHttp in 2000 to do client-side call backs to the server without refreshing the page. I have enjoyed working on the bleeding edge of technology. Pushing what was available past its intended use to do some really remarkable things. My work has spanned many industries. I have built systems for medical research that are working towards curing our gravest diseases, facilitated and coordinated trades across 40 global stock exchanges including NYSE and NASDAQ, as well as helped drive the architectural vision of Dell and eBay. Specialties: REST, SOA, Enterprise, Application, and Sytems Architecture. Lean and Kanban.
