Sean Welsh

Hi, I'm Sean. I'm a communications professional with experience in journalism, editorial management, web content, digital media, broadcast, social media, consulting, freelance and more.

Recently, I served as an Associate Regional Editor for Patch, managing about half of the chain's hyperlocal sites in Maryland. I grew up in Havre de Grace, and graduated from Havre de Grace High School with my wife, Liz. We have two awesome kids—Chloe and Ian. I'm also a freelance sports journalist.

Prior to Patch, I worked for The Baltimore Examiner, The Aegis, and as a freelance reporter for various online and print publications. I'm also experienced in radio, working with Ripken Baseball, FOX Sports Radio and SFMsports.net as a sports talk host and play-by-play broadcaster. I coached the Havre de Grace Warriors varsity baseball team in 2010 before joining Patch. I'm a proud graduate of Towson University.
