Student and Arquitecture in Villavicencio

Hello everyone! My name is Juan Sebastian, I'm 19 years old, and I'm a student at Santo Tomas University. I'm currently studying Architecture and I'm in my seventh semester. I chose this major because I've always enjoyed designing, proposing, and improving the spaces where people live and spend time. In addition to my studies, I work part-time designing contingency plans for events, among other things. I'm the student representative for the architecture faculty at my university, where I've had the opportunity to improve my public speaking and critical thinking skills. I'm also part of the student council, where I work with my classmates to organize events, such as the patron saint festival and faculty anniversaries, and to address the concerns and issues of architecture students. Outside of academics, I work as a manager at my family's cafeteria on weekends. I've also contributed to the illustrative plans for fairs held here in Villavicencio, such as Expomalocas and Joropodromo. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience because when you enter the professional world of your degree, you realize how important your work is and how applicable what you learn is in the workplace. As for my future goals, I aspire to have my own architecture firm and thus establish a company. I am particularly interested in bathymetry and urban design. I believe that with my design skills, I can influence both how people live and how spaces are interpreted. I enjoy being part of the Santo Tomás University community, and I hope to get to know you all and help students from all semesters in any way I can. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need assistance. Thank you!
