Ambitious composer

Sebastian is a Master's student studying Composition at York University, with a focus on popular music studies. His recent work includes a musicological analysis of dubstep, a musical analysis of Bela Bartok's With Drums and Pipes, and composing for a rock band, CRHYMES.

Energetic performer

Sebastian spends his time performing with numerous bands and ensembles from a wide variety of genres. From Balkan Jazz to Avant Garde to Rock; select bands include: Anton Apostol and the Balkania Orchestra, Clarinet Panic, and Rotary Phones. Sebastian is also performs at private functions with a guitar/violin duo playing jazz, blues, folk, and rock/pop.

Passionate teacher

Teaching guitar, bass, drums, and piano, Sebastian believes it is important for any musician to have a balance of musicianship skills as well as a theoretical understanding. With over seven years of experience as a private music instructor, as well as a teaching assistant for a West African Drumming course for undergraduate students, Sebastian personalizes his curriculum to meet the needs of each individual student. Sebastian endeavours to help other musicians enjoy the process of learning and listening to music, as well as finding their own passion and musical drive.
