10111 228th st n. portbyron il.61275. this home is for sale .the list price is 298.000.buyer beware!!!!!!!!!! the huse was purchased for $230.000 in 08. it failed the home inspection .the report says there were high levels of black mold and high levels of radon.also there is a crack in the foundation in the south west corner of the house were water pours in. it can be seen below the electrical panel in the downstairs bedroom. also the pluming and electri is not up to code. wires hanging down in the attic. 220 well pump wire runs along the outside of the house. the fire place can not be used. the chimney tiles are broke and cracked. the chimney needs to be relined completely it fills the house with smoke. the family room is very poorly insulated. room is extreemly cold in winter. this room was the 2 car garage when the home was 1st built in 1972. it later was converted to living space. there are many other issues with this home. too many to list here. also there is a lien on this property for over $42.000. the owner ows money to a contractor she never paid when she converted a garage to the pool house in 09. also it is realy a 3 bedroom since it is not fair to call a room in basement without an egress window a bedroom. the photos are very deceiving the rooms in this house are not nearly as large as they look in the photos. my advice is to have this house and property inspected
