Gigil for Segal
The phrase, Gigil for Segal, came about when my husband and I were in the dating phase of our relationship. Back then, I would have this insatiable urge to squeeze him to bits, not in a murderous-type-of-way, but rather, in an i-love-you-so-much-kind-of-way. Hence, he coined the term "Gigil for Segal" (Segal being his last name). "GIGIL" is a word used in Tagalog (Filipino language) to describe this teeth-gritting, gut-wrenching emotion you get when you see something adorable (e.g. a baby).
So, this blog chronicles my journey as a mom, our adventure as a little family in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, and all other things I have the GIGIL for: my faith, food, travel, adventure, fashion, art, movies... possibly everything!
