Scott Eggert

K. Scott Eggert is a composer/music theorist who specializes in Just Intonation, electronic, experimental, and world music. He received his MA in Music Theory/Composition from Montclair State University and his BA in Music from Thomas Edison State College. He is currently pursuing his DMA in Music Composition (Theory minor) at The University of Georgia. His professional experience includes performing, teaching, recording, arranging, and directing. His research interests are eclectic and varied, but his current focus is on microtonal music theory and the Pythagorean Table. He is a Graduate Research Assistant with ICE (Ideas for Creative Exploration) at The University of Georgia, and following the completion of his doctorate he will seek employment as a Professor of Composition/Theory.
