Stephanie E. Johnson

My name is Stephanie E. Johnson and I am a Master's level clinical psychology professional. Over the past 4 years I have worked in psychiatric research in Atlanta, GA. Through this research, I learned something remarkable and motivating about myself; I love helping people learn more about the field of psychology and mental health care system. The most disheartening thing I learned from interviewing patients with newly diagnosed mental illnesses and their families is that they endured the progression of their symtpoms sometimes years before they ended up in treatment. I couldn't help but wonder 'what would have happened had these patients received treatment earlier?' Furthermore, how can I fix this problem.

Now, I am the founder and owner of NaviPsych, LLC., a coaching, consulting, education, and advocacy agency. The reason I started my business is because I want to revolutionize the mental health experience and help people NAVIgate the world of psychology with confidence and ease. In short, I provide mental health education workshops to the general public; coach and consult with students and professionals about how to find their niche as a psychology major and/or in the field of psychology; and advocate for the improvement in the quality of mental health care in the State of Georgia through policy change. Also, I advocate for additional career development courses and seminars for undergraduate and graduate psychology majors.

The ultimate goal of NaviPsych, LLC. is to make NAVIgating the mental health care system and psychology as a career a user-friendly 21st century process!
