Danielle Selane

My name is Danielle Joanne Selane. I am currently a temporary teacher at Eden Park Secondary School which is in the East Rand of Johannesburg. I strive to be a very good role model to all young people of my community. My dream is to see every high school learner leave the school environment successfully and proceeding to do what they are talented in. I am currently enrolled in a course at the University of Johannesburg to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in order to become a fully qualified teacher.

I hold an undergraduate Bachelors degree in Heritage and Cultural Tourism as well as an Honours degree in Heritage Tourism Management which I completed at North West University in Potchefstroom. I have also obtained a Golden Key membership in 2015 for obtaining the best 15% in academics on my undergraduate degree.

The motivational words that has really made an impact in my life are the words of former President Nelson Mandela which says "It always seem impossible until its done". These are the words that got me through most difficult times in my life. Whenever I felt like giving up, these words kept me going.

Outside of work I am a mother, a daughter and a wife. Through God's grace, I always strive to keep a balance between my work and personal life. My hobbies are reading fictional books, listening to music and socializing with family and friends.
