Flavia Seletswane
Public Speaker, Student, and ICT practitioner in Johannesburg
I am Flavia Seletswane. I’m a student living in Johannesburg currently enrolling at University of Johannesburg. I am a fan of technology, education, and innovation hence I decided to broaden my digital knowledge by being an ICT practitioner. I believe that through education the world can become a better society and we can contribute positively towards improving it and developing it both economically and technologically.
I believe that it is important to be digitally literate in the 21st century as it will help us as individuals to navigate easily to the technological advancements and be equiped and ready for the 5th industrial revolution . I am also interested in web development and I favor creativity and collaboration because united we can make the world a better place. As an ICT specialist I aim to reach out to as many individuals as possible and help them to utilize digital devices and acquire digital skills.
My teaching philosophy is centered around the fact that every learner in a classroom has their own uniqueness and therefore have to be accommodated in every activity regardless of the extent of their capabilities. In my classroom I will foster inclusivity and freedom of expression, where every learner will be given a platform to state their views and opinions freely under no subjection. My motto in life is that you should choose faith over fear and courage over comfort. I am dedicated to whatever task I am assigned to do, willing to lend a helping hand and I also accept challenges and take them as a step leading to growth.
