Converting shoppers into buyers is a critical step when you have an Amazon business. Is there a secret formula for this? No. Simply put, you need to highlight the best things about your product.

Here are a few tips to think about that can help convert shoppers into buyers:

First: Make promotions a big deal

Buyers LOVE promotions. Even if it’s something as simple as a small discount when bundling items. Whenever you offer a promotion, be sure to highlight it on the listing so the potential buyer sees the promotion.

Second: Write better descriptions and choose better images

Practice makes perfect. This means when you initially write your post, you may need to revise it a few times. Remember: you likely have competition selling the same (or similar) products. Make yours as description, accurate and enticing as possible.

Choose your images wisely. Make sure they adhere to Amazon’s image guidelines (i.e., make sure they are crystal clear). The more images, the better. We recommend having at least three to five images. In some instances, you might want more than five.

Third: Pretend YOU are the buyer

I’m sure you’ve gone online and purchased something (or many things) in your life. How did you make your choice? What convinced you to buy an item? Think like the buyer and step out of the shoes of the seller. Write down different things you judge an Amazon listing on and make sure your listings meet all your criteria.

Fourth: Remember, mobile first!

A huge amount of Amazon buyers shop from their smartphone. So, this means everything the potential buyer sees during the shopping process could be on a small screen. Think about your listing and how it appears on a mobile screen. Ask yourself these questions:

Does the buyer have to scroll several times before getting pertinent information?

Do the images load and look clear on a smartphone?

Can the buyer immediately tell what the product is by the title and description?

Our tip: write first and foremost for mobile (a smartphone). Then, think of a desktop screen.
