"Send the Smith's" to Pastor's College

It’s official! Eric has been accepted to be a part of the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College class of 2016-2017. The Pastor’s College is located in Louisville, KY, and accepts approximately ten to fifteen men a year in order to train them and prepare their families for pastoral ministry. It is a ten-month, academically intense program with a clear and specific purpose: training pastors.

Isaiah 6:8 states, “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’” This is the heart behind “Send the Smith’s.” Not only is it a request to partner with us to take the gospel to all the nations (Mark 13:10), it is the primary cry of our hearts, that God would send us in order to glorify Jesus and serve the church, as well as a specific community, maybe overseas, that we believe God has prepared for us to love and serve.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Our immediate, tangible need is financial support through donations. You can visit our donation site by clicking here. Because the program is condensed and rigorous, the Pastor’s College requests that all students do not work, but are financially supported through fundraising, as missionaries are. We need your generous donations to help pay for the cost of moving our belongings and traveling to Louisville, tuition and books, and living expenses for the 10 month training period and for one year after graduation for relocation and placement. For those of you who have connections, gifts like plane tickets are an easy way to help "Send the Smith's." We trust God that our needs will be met, whether by a single donor or many, by a one-time gift, or monthly support. No gift is too small.

We are asking that people utilize their connections by spreading the word, passing out letters, forwarding emails, and posting to social media sites, especially Facebook and Twitter.
