Sen. Maina Ma’aji Lawan, CON. graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1977 where he obtained a BSc degree in Business administration, specializing in finance. He was once a governor of Borno state and was elected three times as a senator for Borno North, his last election being in 2011 after which he declined to contest.

Sen. Lawan established several businesses from the early 1980s to date.
He was the managing director of Madison Nigeria Limited (1982-1991), chairman and CEO of Comodex Ltd (1995 to date), Chairman CEO KBB Engineering Ltd 1999 to date and Chairman CEO of Dansarki Farms Ltd (2007 to date).
Dansarki Farms is a multifaceted farm located at Kuje, Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal capital. The farm currently stocks layers for poultry, Fish and Cattle and has expanded its Poultry to a 500,000 birds Capacity.

Dansarki farms has grown exponentially since the downturn experienced as a result of COVID-19 and related challenges.
Through his leadership, prudential management, innovative approach to challenges and hard work, Sen. Maina Maaji Lawan has served as the cornerstone of our success.
The farm has embarked on a restocking program. It is currently housing 150,000 layers and steadily inching towards its capacity of 500,000 birds.
The farm’s revenue base is also benefiting extremely from one of its byproducts, Chicken droppings, which is the most sought-after organic fertilizer, serving a large segment of the farming population.
Dansarki farm is a fully functioning poultry farm in Abuja that produces its own poultry feed. The farm has a large in-house feed mill that serves its entire poultry and fish feed requirements. This facility also serves a large segment of local farmers.
Looking towards the future, the company plans to expand its cash crop production, while further strengthening its livestock segment of the business.
Senator Lawan is also into real estate, commerce, commodities trade, and he is very passionate about farming, being a large-scale commercial livestock farmer with extensive interests in cattle, poultry and fisheries.
