Nottingham marketing firm seo77 has been inundated with inquiries after it was claimed that its computer experts played a part in helping Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Luisa Zissman beat a rival to a television award.

Founder David Redfern reported he has received 170 enquiries in three weeks.

Mr Redfern, 29, said: "It's been a positive PR boost for us.

"We've had inquiries from it and we've got new client who is a Premiership footballer.

"It's really led to massive growth for us – the business will probably grow ten-fold as a result.

"We're definitely going to be moving to new offices now."

The online marketing company, which is headquartered in Icon Technology Park, Sherwood Park, specialises in web design and search engine optimisation.

It currently employs 17 people and has around 100 clients.

Mr Redfern added: "Search engine optimisation is an internet marketing technique used to improve the visibility of a website so that it ranks highly in search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

"It helps improve a company's visibility online, expand their business and attract new customers.

"It's is about editing, or creating a website so that it will gain natural listings on search engines.

"Very few of us look past the first result page when searching for something online – which is why a business cannot afford to not be listed on page one.

"Search engine optimisation puts your website right in front of customers at the moment they are thinking about making a purchase.

"We work with clients across all industry sectors.

"We've been developing and optimising websites for more than ten years, and between them our team has decades of experience."

Last month, a national newspaper alleged an Seo77 computer program played a part in Luisa Zissman's victory over I'm a Celebrity rival Helen Flanagan in the Best Female Personality at the National Reality TV Awards last September.

Ms Zissman denied the allegations, which have been widely reported.

But she has previously praised the Nottinghamshire firm via Twitter. She said: "@seo77geeks they are indeed the secret to any successful business!!

She also said: "Just seen the redesign that @seo77geeks are doing for my new @TheBakerShop website it's AMAZING – best in the business."
