Serena Guidobaldi| born in Rome (Italy) in 1969 – freelance journalist, writer and cook, I worked as media relation for the Italian Chamber of Deputies between 1988 and 1994.
As an expert of comics and humour, I specialized in historical and social aspects of comics and satire and I’m the author of many comic books and cartoons.
As a tv author, I wrote for the Italian tv channels Rai Gulp, Raisat Smash and Raisat Smash Girls.
As a freelance journalist, I specialized in the specific field of food history and culture, with a focus on how local culinary traditions define people’s identities and society also organizing private cooking classes and/or dinners focused on the history and usage of local ingredients in order to go deep into the relationship between products and territory. Since 2008 I started traveling the world in order to study the role of food and nutrition as tools for gender equality and women’s empowerment in developing nations.
I’m currently based in Venice curating a photographic art project on the 500th anniversary of the Venice Jewish Ghetto in 2016.
