The one complaint that I get from most clients that I sit down and talk to is, "They keep sending me people that are unqualified." What's the adage? Throw something at the wall and hope it sticks? That's usually what they do, because they sent you somebody without really trying. That person doesn't work out, they send you somebody else. That person doesn't work out, they send you somebody else and so on and so forth.

What do we do at Serenity? We take this vast abundance of people that may or may not fit your qualifications and we sit them down and we screen them. We make sure that the people that we send you, actually fit your needs, they actually fit your position that have the characteristics that you're looking for, the education that you want and that fits your pay range. At the end, the consumer, the client, is actually hiring the one person that fits their needs the best. That's the one little guy that's sitting there by himself.

Most staffing agencies out there want you to believe that it’s this huge ordeal and it’s this huge campaign that they have to take on to find a lawyer, or a doctor, or a nurse, or somebody that’s certified or licensed. You have a higher placement. When it really isn’t that true. Yeah, it takes a little more digging, but that may add 15-20 minutes to what I do on a regular daily basis.

And the entry level positions ... I can put an ad on ZipRecruiter for a customer service rep and have 200 resumes to review in one day. One day. I can post a job and close it and have 200 people to look over in one day. Because there’s that much of an abundance for that particular position.

Then I do the resume review. I look through all of the people that applied and pick out the one’s that fit your needs the most. Cause there are some people that are very easily disqualified. They either don’t submit a resume, or the resume is not professional, or their resume is completely full of all kinds of grammatical errors. Whatever it may be. You can use all that to disqualify someone, just off the way that they write their resume, the quality of the content. Look at their name. If they have their profile name on Facebook as their professional job search name, then you know you don’t want to hire them.

That’s where the majority of my time comes in, is sifting through these resumes, but that’s what I do. I have time to go through 200 resumes, because that’s what I do. You are running your business. You don’t have time
