Hello, my name is Serge Lavoie, born in Quebec City, raised in London, Ontario and a past resident of both Sarnia, Ontario and Toronto.

I began my professional career as a journalist and for the last 30 years I have lead several national trade and professional associations in sectors ranging from book retailing , community newspapers to plastics.

I live in St. Thomas, where I have embraced heritage conservation and local food systems through involvement in numerous community groups. I have been chair of the St. Thomas Municipal Heritage Committee and a director on the St. Thomas Horton Farmers' Market management board.

Currently, my most ambitious goal is to convert an 850 foot long abandonned railway bridge into Canada's first elevated park.

Most importantly, I want my community to begin investing in itself.
